| Looking
for a fast roadbike that's still comfortable? You've come
to the right place! Our Corrida CT 3.3 flat-bar roadbike fits
that bill perfectly... and it does it without breaking the
bank. This bike offers almost the same performance as a roadracing
model, but with the more relaxed riding position afforded
by flat-bars (straight handlebars). So, what was that "almost
the performance of a roadracing model" all about? The
Corrida CT's drivetrain is pure road... triple crankset and
8-speed gear cluster with the same ratios found on many racing
models, but you give up a very slight edge only for lack of
the more aerodynamic and stretched out riding stance that
drop-bars allow.
We
also equip the CT with 28mm wide tires vesus 23mm tires
usually found on racing bikes. Their rolling resistance
is not quite as keen as the narrower tires, but the added
traction and increased air volume of the 28's creates a
very secure and cushier ride. These tirres and the flat-bars
also give you better control when you find the road conditions
a little rough. Not a bad trade-off for those of us looking
for a speedy roadbike that's fun to ride and easy on the
body.
The
Corrida CT's Shimano R440-8 shifters are specifically designed
for flat-bar road bikes... frankly, the newest concept in
road bike technology... and, the Shimano Tiagra rear derailleur
and TruVatriv Iso-Flow triple crankset (52/42/30T) are pure
road parts found on racing style bikes. Nevertheless, the
Corrida CT is ideal for commuting, light touring, fitness
rides or just tooling around the neighborhood. Check out
the specs and you'll find an abundance of top name manufacturers
have been tapped for the component mix.
If
you've been wanting true road bike performance but have
shied away from the hunched over riding stance of a racing
bike, then the Corrida CT 3.3 could very well be the answer
you've been looking for. The
geometry is engineered to deliver a stable ride without
sacrificing quick acceleration. The Corrida frame is compliant
enough for long club rides and all-day touring. S-bend seatstays
allow for wider tires and add power to the rear brake.
