For
2008 the big news on our Ignition series is the all new,
3rd generation All-Mountain frame with 120mm travel (just
shy of 5"). Highlights include 6061 aluminum construction,
multi-link rear suspension, shaped main tubes with full
gussetting and ovalized seat-tube brace. While previous
generation Ignitions have always been very capable trailbikes,
this new frame takes the Ignition series up to a whole new
level of performance... longer travel, rugged design and
well thought out geometry make the new Ignitions easily
the most capable bikes that we've ever produced in their
price range.
The
IBEX Ignition-3 is a full-suspension mountain bike that
really hits its mark... with this new frame and components
selected to deliver unmatched performance in this price
range. The Ignition-3's 27-speed drivetrain blends Shimano
Deore shifters and front derailleur with an LX rear derailleur,
a Shimano 9-spd cassette and FSA Gamma Drive crankset with
outboard bearing MegaExo bottom-bracket.
Other
significant features include Avid BB-5 mechanical disc brakes,
a Marzocchi MX Lockout suspension fork and a Rock Shox BAR
2.1 rear air shock. The IGN-3's wheelset is built to take
abuse with WTB's new mid-width SpeedDisc All-Mountain rims
on Formula alloy disc hubs mounted with 26" x 2.10
WTB VelociRaptor tires. Final touches include a WTB Speed
V Comp saddle, UNO alloy cockpit set, cartridge headset
and Shimano clipless pedals (w/ cleats included).
All together this adds up to, perhaps, the best value in
an all-mountain FS bike to be found... anywhere!
